Great location. Friendly hosts. Clean traditional rooms and bathrooms. Slept very well as it was very quiet at night.

Breakfast and pleasant hosts. Not forgetting the facilities.

I loved the Japanese style room. It's isn't too small and just nice for 2 persons. The futon was comfortable and the outside balcony area was lovely to wake up to. Has all the amenities needed and the hosts, Kozo and wife were very friendly and very helpful. Made our stay very pleasant and top class service.

Absolutely loved the Guesthouse. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The sitting area, especially given the space is well laid out, and has a chilled atmosphere. Great clean and well-functioning showers & toilets. Location is fantastic – Gion is just beautiful and the guesthouse is so close to the Kamo river which was perfect for both chilling out on after walking around all day.. or a morning run! Did both. Stayed in a dorm, small room, but expected in one of Japan’s most visited cities and it was clean and comfy. Only there to sleep anyway! Rented a bike too. Couldn’t recommend more.

Honestly, there was nothing I felt was missing or needed changing!
